How to Use the Subscription Plan Builder

The Subscription Plan Builder is a self-service interactive estimator widget that guides church leaders, pastors, and ministry boards through designing a tailored tech support subscription.

Every rate, hour block, and discount tier is retrieved directly from Elder IT’s live pricing database—ensuring accurate estimates at all times.

Before building your plan, understand the four primary package options:

Package Tier Primary Focus Included Support Types Best For
Bronze Core Remote Support Phone, Video, Remote Screen-Share Smaller congregations wanting affordable remote tech troubleshooting.
Silver Remote + Church Clinics Remote Support + In-Person At-Church Clinics Active churches holding regular tech clinics, workshops, or office hours.
Gold Full All-Inclusive Coverage Remote + At-Church Clinics + In-Home Visits Churches committed to comprehensive care, including homebound seniors.
Cobalt Pay-As-You-Go Preferred Rates Zero pre-paid block hours; all support billed at discounted member rates Churches wanting partnership discounts without committing to monthly hour blocks.

The builder uses an accessible, sequential question design. As you select each answer, the next step unlocks immediately below:

Select one of the four packages (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Cobalt). Each package card clearly lists what is included in your hours and which visits are treated as upgrades.

(Skipped automatically for Cobalt plans) Select the number of monthly support blocks your congregation needs (e.g., 10, 20, 30, or 40+ hours per month).

  • Additional blocks unlock tiered volume discounts.
  • Unused hours do not roll over between months.

Choose how long your initial partnership agreement will run:

  • 3 Months
  • 6 Months (includes a term savings discount)
  • 12 Months (unlocks the highest term discount)

Choose how your church prefers to pay:

  • Monthly Subscription Payment: Billed on the 1st of each calendar month.
  • In-Full Subscription Payment: Pay the entire term upfront and receive an additional prepayment discount.

Steps 5 & 6: Benevolence Policies (Overtime & Visit Upgrades)

Section titled “Steps 5 & 6: Benevolence Policies (Overtime & Visit Upgrades)”

Elder IT allows churches to decide how extra support costs are split between the church and congregation members:

  • Overtime Hours: If your church’s monthly hours run out, does the church sponsor the extra hours, or does the member pay their own discounted overtime fee?
    • Choosing Church Pays Overtime applies a benevolence discount.
  • Visit Upgrades: If a member on a Bronze or Silver plan requests an in-home visit, does the church sponsor the visit upgrade fee, or does the individual member pay it?
    • Choosing Church Pays Visit Fees applies an additional discount.
    • (Gold plans include all visit types automatically, so this question is skipped).

Once all steps are completed, your pricing proposal appears at the bottom:

  1. Estimated Monthly Price: The discounted rate billed each month.
  2. Total Commitment Price: The full term total, calculated as (Monthly Price × Number of Months) + One-Time Setup Fee.
  3. Setup Fee: A flat one-time setup fee per plan term that covers administrator onboarding and initial technical audit.
  4. “See the Breakdown” Disclosure: Clicking the breakdown disclosure reveals a transparent summary table:
    • Base monthly price before discounts
    • Each percentage discount earned (term length, full payment, benevolence)
    • Total savings amount
