Church Member Coverage & Support FAQs
If your church partners with Elder IT, you are entitled to special tech support benefits, subsidized rates, and dedicated appointments.
How do I find out if my church has an active Elder IT subscription?
Section titled “How do I find out if my church has an active Elder IT subscription?”You can easily verify your church’s active partnership by using our online Church Subscription Lookup tool:
- Simply enter your church’s physical street address.
- The tool will display the church’s active plan status, remaining hours this month, and what rates apply to you.
- You can also ask your church office or pastoral care committee directly.
Is my support session completely free, or will I have to pay?
Section titled “Is my support session completely free, or will I have to pay?”In most cases, your session is 100% free to you.
As long as your church has remaining monthly block hours and your support request falls within your church’s plan tier (e.g., remote sessions on Bronze, or remote and at-church clinics on Silver), your appointment is fully covered by your church.
You may only incur a modest fee if:
- Your church has exhausted its monthly hours (in which case deeply discounted member overtime rates apply, unless sponsored by the church).
- You request an in-home visit on a plan that only includes remote or at-church support (a visit upgrade fee applies).
- In-home visits may incur a travel base fee (see Dynamic Base Fee Calculator).
What if my church only covers remote support, but I need someone to come to my home?
Section titled “What if my church only covers remote support, but I need someone to come to my home?”If your church’s plan includes remote or at-church support (such as Bronze or Silver) and you need an in-person, in-home visit, you can simply upgrade that session:
- You’ll receive our discounted hourly upgrade rate ($15/hr for Silver plans, $30/hr for Bronze plans; Gold plans already include in-home visits).
- Depending on your church’s partnership agreement, this upgrade may be covered by your church’s benevolence budget or paid directly at the time of your appointment.
- Check your church’s specific billing arrangement using the Church Subscription Lookup.
What if I need support, but all of the support hours for the month have been used?
Section titled “What if I need support, but all of the support hours for the month have been used?”You never have to worry about being turned away when you need help.
If your congregation has used its monthly block of hours, you can still schedule and receive support without interruption at our special member overtime rates:
- Remote Support: Starting at $25/hour
- At-Church Tech Clinics: Starting at $35/hour
- In-Home Support: $45 to $55/hour
During enrollment, your church designates whether overtime hours are covered by the church or paid directly by the member.
What information about me will be shared with the church?
